Reports to: Manager of Athletics and Student Life
Hours per week: 35 hours per week

Duties & Responsibilities:
Design and produce publications, electronic storage devices and video for:
the Student Life department at the Barrie, Orillia and Owen Sound Campuses including but not limited to: Student Planners, newsletters, brochures, and bi-weekly newspaper;
internal and external business (the Last Class menus, logo development, SAC business cards, posters and tickets, etc); and
special events such as Respect Campaign, SWAT, Orientation, Provincial and National Athletic Championships etc;
Solicit various community and national businesses for advertising in department publications;
Maintain Student Life web pages (The Last Class, SAC, The First Class, Athletics and Student Life, etc) by writing code, uploading/downloading web pages to server, formatting text to be web specific, and design of web pages;
Maintaining the student portal;
Provides guidance to SAC for advertising and promotional events;
Monitors the advertising budget, prepares purchase orders and invoicing, and compiles tenders for student planner;
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
A post secondary diploma in graphic design combined with a minimum one year of related work experience in graphic and web design.
Proficient in the use of graphic and web design software (i.e. InDesign, Dream Weaver, Photoshop, Illustrator, Quark, Xpress, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.)
Proficient with the use of HTML- Wordpress, FTP-video editing, I Movie, MAC OSX.
Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication (written/oral) skills.
Must be a self starter who possesses the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong planning, organizational, time management, and decision making skills.
Ability to multi-task within a fast paced customer service oriented setting.
Willing to work some nontraditional hours.
